Sarah obtained her Bachelor degree in Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) from the University of Sydney in 2009 under the Health Sciences Scholarship. Upon graduation, Sarah worked in Tan Tock Seng Hospital and National University Hospital.
During her tenure at the National University Hospital, where she was a Senior Occupational Therapist in the discipline of Hand Rehabilitation, Sarah was involved in the multidisciplinary team-based care for a wide range of conditions affecting the upper limb at the Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery Centre. She further obtained her certification in Physical Agent Modalities and completed the Ergonomic Evaluation Certification Program. Sarah also participated in the sharing of clinical experiences through mentoring, educational talks and presentation in conferences. Recognised for her commitment to client-centred care, Sarah received service awards such as the Values-In-Action Award, and was a winner of the Grooming and Service Delivery Challenge.
Sarah has a clinical interest in the rehabilitation of hand and upper extremity, in particular, injuries to the brachial plexus. Other interest areas include myofascial pain syndromes of the upper quadrant and ergonomic evaluations.
Apart from work, Sarah also enjoys badminton, music and time with her family.
